[Manuscript] Alexandre DUMAS, also known as Alexandre Dumas - Lot 23
[Manuscript] Alexandre DUMAS, also known as Alexandre Dumas père (Villers-Cotterêts, 1802–1870), writer. Signed autograph manuscript, intended for publication in one of his newspapers, such as *L’Indepediente* or *Monte-Christo*, during his stay in Naples between 1861 and 1864. An article in which Dumas examines Spain’s domestic and foreign political situation in light of the Mexican and Roman questions. “One of these mornings, we shall read in the *Moniteur* these significant words: ‘The Marquis de Lavalette has been sent on an extraordinary mission to Madrid’ —which will mean—Emperor Napoleon wants to put an end to all this dubious Spanish politics and is sending his great troubleshooter to Madrid.” 3 pages in-4 written in black ink on blue paper, with some margins skillfully reinforced.
